To start with
Welcome to my world of wildlife and conservation! I’m Krishiv Malhotra, an applicant driven by a great passion for protecting our precious biodiversity. Join me on this web profile as I unravel my journey through wildlife biology, exciting experiences, and a burning desire to make a difference. From researching with Grey Films India to tracking elusive tigers with Tiger Watch, my experiences have shaped me into a wildlife enthusiast. Through my adventures, I’ve learned the art of observation, patience, and profound respect for the delicate balance of nature. Every time I meet these amazing creatures, my knowledge about conservation gets an upgrade.
However, my journey extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. I have embarked on thrilling experiences that have brought me face-to-face with the astonishing wonders of nature. As a research intern at Grey Films India, I had the privilege of contributing to two remarkable documentaries that shed light on the hidden lives of animals. From the humble donkeys, often overlooked, to powerful tigers, I submerged myself in their stories, blending my passion for wildlife with the interest of the film.
But my thirst for adventure and hands-on experiences knew no limits. Around Ranthambore National Park, India I went on an exciting 15-day internship with Tiger Watch. Alongside local villagers and experienced trackers, I ventured into the untamed wilderness, tracking the elusive wolves and majestic tigers. I also helped create educational and awareness posters for schools in the Ranthambore area, inspiring conservation in the minds of the next generation.
Beyond my academic pursuits and thrilling adventures, my devotion to wildlife extends to the compassionate care of our domesticated friends. At Father John’s Animal House, a local animal shelter, I have dedicated my time and heart to providing comfort and support to those in need. This experience has made me more empathetic towards all creatures and taught me the importance of kindness and its impact on their lives.
Education
I am currently enrolled at Sparta High School, where I am diligently pursuing a rigorous curriculum with a focus on wildlife biology, animal behavior, and conservation biology. By immersing myself in these subjects, I am developing a strong academic foundation to support my future endeavors in the field of wildlife conservation.
Driven by my passion for wildlife, I’ve worked hard to develop skills that let me help with conservation efforts. I may be new in the field, but I’m eager to learn and contribute. As a wildlife enthusiast, I’m starting to understand different ecosystems, species, and how we can protect wildlife while balancing human activities.
